Now, this guy has talent! Travis Smith is 17 years old and is laying it down for all of us on canvass with his sharp eye and talented hands. Travis is an automotive artist that is 100% dedicated to the art of the automobile. Famed artist, Auguste Rodin, whom sculpted the statue titled "The Thinker", once said of his own work: "What makes my Thinker think is that he thinks not only with the brain, with his knitted brow, his distended nostrils, and compressed lips, but with every muscle of his arms, back, and legs, with his clenched fist and gripping toes." Travis gives the same attention, as Rodin did to his sculptures, to the detail in his paintings so you can feel the speed, smell the rubber burning on hot asphault, and get the feel of forward motion.

Travis clearly appreciates the beauty of classic cars and if they inspire him enough he will paint them. Being of a younger generation, Travis, is one who focuses on the sleek and powerful world that the automobile has become, not what it was. Travis is absolutely absorbed into the world of art and the automobile, his paintings show such passion. Many people have said that Travis's talent is ahead of his time. Famed auto artist, Fredrick Yohe, once said about Travis's work, "You're 16 and doing work like that? Hey... you're the Master... you just don't know it. At 16 my eyes were used for looking at girls and looking for trouble!" Travis takes his work very seriously and stays on the cutting edge by improving his talents with the brush. Whether Travis paints a beautiful and sleek McLaren F1 by the beach, or a Porsche 911 Turbo on rain soaked forest roads, Travis brings an exciting and realistic view into the contemporary world of automobiles.
