When you go to a show where 500 trophies are handed out and there are over 140 classes you are guaranteed to see some very nice rides. This legendary show has always had the reputation of being one of the largest in the lower 48 and it lived up to it... again. The show was held at the Travis County Expo Center, a rather large facility, which barely accomodates this Texas-sized show! Heat Wave had it all, such as: monster trucks, car audio competitions, bikini contests, burnout competitions, bike stunt teams, hydraulic competitions, a live concert and an almost never ending vendor presence! Sponsor and area retailer Custom Sounds, held a huge sales event in one of the two air conditioned facilities, over the weekend, inside the show grounds making various 12 volt accessories available for the grabbing at discounted prices. We took over 500 hundred pictures in just one day! What you see is just an edited sample of what was at the show and is not truly an adequate representation of the Texas Heat Wave Show.
Must we also mention that this show is hot? We mention HOT, because not only are there plenty of hot rides and hot women... there is plenty of HOT weather too! If you check out this show, fellow cruisers, we give to you this one piece of handy advice: PACK PLENTY OF WATER! Hey... it's not called Texas Heat Wave for nothing! Until next year...
