It is unfortunate in life that sometimes bad things happen unexpectedly. There isn't a day that goes by that I do not hear a story that divulges some sort of tragedy that brings about the demise of what would otherwise be a perfect day. One such day is June 14, 2006. I was busy making out my schedule for upcoming road trips to shows throughout the southeast, when I received a call from Clell Reed, the chapter president of AcrophobiA in Tennessee. Clell informed me of the sad news of Paul Bullis suddenly passing away.
If you do not know Paul personally maybe you remember seeing his Ford Ranger in Mini-Truckin' Magazine. I know mini-truck owners who have spent a lifetime trying to get into Mini-Truckin' Magazine and Paul did it on his first build which is an accomplishment to say the least! We must now assume that the wisdom of the old adage that "the good die young" is very true when speaking of Paul Bullis.
Paul was a true blue mini-trucker who loved to work on his truck, go to shows, and hang with his fellow AcrophobiA members. I am sure if Paul was still with us today, he would agree when I say that mini-trucks is more than simply cruising down the strip and looking good, it is a type of lifestyle. Paul lived that lifestyle to the fullest while he was with us and he will be missed... his family will miss him, AcrophobiA will miss him, the mini-truckin' scene will miss him... we shall all miss him.
This issue is dedicated to Paul, his family, and AcrophobiA. |
